On-Die Signal Integrity Monitoring of Gigabit Serial I/Os
نویسندگان
چکیده
This thesis describes an embedded undersampling system for capturing analog waveforms and monitoring signal integrity throughout a signal path. It is intended for use in Gigabit serial products, such as crosspoints and other networking products. Design reuse and simple components were the most important design parameters. The system has a small layout, a simple digital interface, and does not require a separate sample-and-hold circuit. The final system has 15 mV minimum resolution, operates over common-mode logic signals from 1.8V to 1.4V, and accurately captures signals up to 2GHz. Addressing Analog Design Challenges for Multi-Gigabit Systems
Market demands are continually pushing semiconductor developers to design smaller, faster chips that consume less power. As the demand for bandwidth increases, developers are faced with additional design challenges, such as managing noise, process sensitivity, testability, signal integrity, and skew (the difference in channel delay), which have severe effects on the performance of a chip multi-...
متن کاملContinuous and Cuffless Blood Pressure Monitoring Based on ECG and SpO2 Signals By Using Microsoft Visual C Sharp
Background: One of the main problems especially in operating room and monitoring devices is measurement of Blood Pressure (BP) by sphygmomanometer cuff. Objective: In this study we designed a new method to measure BP changes continuously for detecting information between cuff inflation times by using vital signals in monitoring devices. This will be achieved by extraction of the time difference ...

متن کاملHigh-Performance System Design Conference An Overview of Signal Integrity
Data communication rates have increased tremendously over the past 5 years in order to accommodate the exponential growth in data transmission. It is common today to have serial data streams in storage area networks that exceed 2 Gb/s and it is expected that high-speed serial signals in backplanes will reach 6.25 Gb/s in 2003. Consequently, the minimum pulse width of these serial data streams h...
متن کاملI-15: Effects of Oxidative Stress on Sperm Function
Semen analysis is the frontline and old reliable test in the assessment of male fertility, but it failed to provide absolute prediction of sperm function and its fertilizing ability. A wide variety of internal and external factors affect sperm function without discernible and significant effects on semen analysis. Oxygen toxicity and oxidative stress (OS) are inherent challenge of living cells ...
